UNDER THE SEA You can learn to be a mermaid at Disney World with a fully working tail

FANS of The Little Mermaid can become Ariel themselves thanks to The Mermaid Academy at Disney World.

The school provides an hour of lessons on swimming, along with a mermaid tail fitted to your body to learn how to be a mermaid.

Even better, there are classes for both kids and adults, with a minimum age of four to take part.

Both boys and girls can learn to become a mermaid, where they are trained to swim through hoops and dive for treasure.

The courses are run by swimming school The Mermaid Academy at a number of hotels across the park.

Polynesian Village Resort, Riviera Resort, Yacht Club Resort, Beach Club Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort and All-Star Music Resort offer the one-hour classes on select dates.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a favorite destination to try the class too, with large statues of Ariel, King Triton, Prince Eric and Ursula.

There is even a Little Mermaid hotel wing to stay in, with underwater-themed decor.

The classes cost $55 per person, plus tax, according to Inside the Magic, and you can book by calling 407-939-7529.

Swimmers will be given a medallion after completing the class, and those who love the experience can buy their tails to take home, with purple, blue, pearled and rainbow rails starting from $109
