Hotel holidays: Why luxury hotels are the best way to holiday safely - 'in safe hands'

HOTEL holidays are back on the cards for some people who wish to take a break now that quarantine measures have been lifted. The founder of luxury hotel club Little Emperors has revealed why up-market hotels might be the best way to holiday safely.

Hotels are now up and running and eager to get customers through their doors. And while many might be worried about taking a holiday, a hotel stay could be your safest bet. Since lockdown measures were eased, consumer demands have taken a turn towards cleanliness and safety.

Whether it’s a luxury suite, a room with a view or a penthouse, staying away from home is still an option, even if it’s just down the road from your own home.

Founder of Little Emperors Rebecca Masri spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about why luxury hotels may be just what customers are looking for.

“When the coronavirus started back in March, my team and I were on zoom calls all day long with hotels about their sanitization,” Masri explained.

“And I think at the level of luxury, you can assume that they are cleaning thoroughly.

“All hotels should have a high level of sanitization.”

Luxury hotels often include housekeeping in their price tag, which can make them more appealing to consumers, especially in the current climate.

Masri continued: “I think the luxury segment is considered to have much more thorough - twice daily housekeeping etc. - sanitization.

“And there is the assumption that you are in safe hands when you are travelling with a well-known luxury brand.”

Masri believes the travel industry has taken a “massive blow” since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Like many businesses within the travel sector, Little Emperors has experienced fewer bookings.

However, she thinks that luxury hotels will help maintain consumer confidence.

In fact, while Little Emperors has experienced fewer bookings, she revealed that “the number of room nights” that they have booked has gone up.

“It’s really the luxury hotels who will maintain the confidence of the members more so,” she explained.

“I definitely think there is a trend towards that.”

Little Emperors is a private members luxury hotel club that offers members affordable luxury and value for money.

The members club was founded in 2009 by Masri, and has since garnered an impressive 35,000 members.

The luxury hotel club offers its members unparalleled exclusivity, unlocking a world of grandeur hotels which include the likes of The Connaught, the Four Seasons on Park Lane and The May Fair in London.

Little Emperors prides itself on full transparency with no add-ons assuring the lowest rates available to members.

“If you do find a lower rate somewhere else, we’ll match it,” Masri said.

She continued: “As a business proposition we’re adding value whether that’s through negotiated corporate rates or through the leisure business which is often of added value like complimentary breakfasts, upgrades hotel credit, that’s the value we’re adding to our clients.”
